About

Born in Cognac, France, François Fressinier was deeply influenced by his scholarly portrait photographer parents, who instilled in him a love for aesthetics and the Old Masters. Growing up surrounded by France’s historic Gallo-Roman ruins and Gothic churches, François developed a passion for figurative and symbolic artwork, eager to express human experiences and our beautiful world through visual narratives.

With over 30 years of experience, François blends classical techniques with contemporary styles through a unique mixed-media approach. He explores a range of artistic influences, from figurative to floral to abstract geometric. Recently, François has focused on abstract and geometric works, reflecting his fascination with space/time, and the mysteries of the cosmos. These pieces emphasize bold shapes and symmetry and have a subtle textile nature when viewed up close. These mixed media paintings communicate a Zen-like harmony that invites exploration beyond traditional boundaries.

François Fressinier’s paintings have been exhibited in galleries throughout the U.S. and France which have garnered him a dedicated following of collectors throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, France, Italy, and beyond, continuously transforming personal experiences into a shared artistic journey.
